ORIGINALLY POSTED ON THE EIGHTH EDITION OF "THE BEAU ZONE" ON THE HARD ROCK HEROES WEBSITE FROM MAY TO NOVEMBER 2006.
The ads this past New Year's for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve said, "the first ever performance in Times Square" by Mariah Carey. Well, that was the first FOR THAT SHOW, the Dick Clark show. It is NOT the first Times Square NYE TV performance. I believe that honor went to Lindsay Lohan on MTV's Iced Out last year. I'll tell anyone - if I'm wrong and someone can give me info about an earlier performance, please do. Until then, Lindsay Lohan was the first. I will say it was cool seeing Mariah sing live on Dick Clark on ABC, then appear for a cameo on MTV (I can picture her handlers traipsing her across the street from ABC to MTV), then go back again to hang out with Dick's co-host Ryan Seacrest. Doing the MTV cameo was cool for logistics fans like me, but going back across the street to ABC again as well? That was da bomb and groovy!
Hey, dudes & babes! Beau Hajavitch here. You've found THE BEAU ZONE! Here you'll find my controversial opinions on anything. Formerly part of my Hard Rock Heroes website, it's now, along w/the entire Beau Zone archive, on Blogspot. Frustrated? That my opinions aren't usually reflected in media? Here's my outlet - The Beau Zone. You may laugh, cry, or get thoroughly disgusted. Guess what? Not a damn thing you can do about it! HA HA HA! Light up a smoke, & here we go:

Me during the broadcast of "Much On Demand" outside in front of the Muchmusic building in Toronto, ON on September 25, 2003.

Hilary Duff New Year's Eve Stuff (Hey, that rhymes!)
ORIGINALLY POSTED ON THE SEVENTH EDITION OF "THE BEAU ZONE" ON THE HARD ROCK HEROES WEBSITE FROM DECEMBER 2005 TO MAY 2006.
In a recent edition of Us Weekly, Joel Madden said Hilary Duff wants a sewing machine for Christmas. Now that that's out there, by the time Christmas arrives, is Hilary going to think her request is "Sew Yesterday, Sew Yesterday?" (GET IT?) I wonder if any of her fans reading that will send her sewing machines the way Eva Longoria's fans sent her vibrators. I hope anyone in the first few rows at all the shows on her upcoming post-Christmas concert tour holds up signs saying, "Hilary, did you get your sewing machine for Xmas?" And, hey, now that Hilary's hosting the L.A. portion of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Dick and Ryan Seacrest live in Times Square can ask her if she got her sewing machine for Christmas! And she can answer "Ah,....yeah! Ha Ha!" with a cornball, kind of flustered/embarassed look on her face, because her portion of that show will have been taped before Christmas!
